My name is Rebecca Campbell.  I’m a writer and an academic with a PhD in English (specifically Canadian literature) from the University of Western Ontario, where I worked on landscape and memory as they appear in war literature. I think a lot about battlefields, statues, and poetry.

I also write speculative fiction (You can find my bibliography under the spec fic link above). In 2016 my work has been reprinted in The Year’s Best Science Fiction and Fantasy as well as The Year’s Best Dark Fantasy and Horror both from Prime Books. “The Glad Hosts” (published by Lackington’s in 2015) has been nominated for a Sunburst Award, too. “On Highway 18” (F&SF 2017) also appeared in The Year’s Best Dark Fantasy and Horror, and was longlisted for a Sunburst award.

NeWest Press published my first novel The Paradise Engine in 2013. It’s available on Chapters.ca, Amazon.ca, and on Kobo, too.
